The Chordettes version was released by American record company “Cadence Records” Label. The company was founded by an American bandleader and music arranger “Archibald Bleyer”. The chordettes version reached number one on the US Billboard chart.
The Four Aces version
The Four Aces version was released in the year 1954 and performed by an American pianist “Jack Pleis”. This song was well recognized as a top ten hit in the United Kingdom and the United States. The music version was featured in the American fiction movie “Back to the Future”.
Chet Atkin’s version
Chet Atkin’s version was released in the year 1955 January. The instrumental version was recorded at an American record label “RCA Records” by Chester Burton. The music was performed by Chet Atkins(Guitarist), Murrey Mizell(Drummer), Ernest Newton(Bass), and Marvin Hughes (Piano).
Bert Kaempfert version
Bert Kaempfert’s instrumental version was released in the year 1968 and featured on the album “My Way of Life”. The music was recognized and gained number 12 on the Adult Contemporary Billboard chart. It also gained number 14 on Record World chart billboard and number one on Cash Box.
Emmylou Harris version
Emmylou Harris’s version was recorded in the year 1978 January by Dolly Parton, Kinda Ronstadt, and Emmylou Harris.
Pat Ballard Biography [Mr Sandman sheet music composer]
Pat Ballard, who was named Francis Drake Ballard from birth. He was born on the 19th of June 1899 in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, USA. His mother “Lucille Ballard” was a vocalist (Soprano) while his father “Frank Ballard” works as an optician. He was well-known as a professional music producer, editor, author, and music composer.
He died after his arrest at the medical Arts Center in the year 1960.
